This anole appears to be common in gardens around Port au Prince. It is a shade loving species and appears to be crepuscular.

Found in mixed forest habitat on north facing slope, while sunning. This species doesn't appear to be common in this area.
I spotted this lizard basking in the sun from a distance and managed to get a few quick photos before it took off. The temperature was in the 80's. This was the only lizard observed during three days in the area, during a long dry spell.
This snake was discovered roadcruising while on the road northwest of town. This species is relatively common in the area.
Hibernating colonies of this butterfly species were discovered among rocks along a stream in the Siera Gorda SE of Landa de Matamoros, Queretaro. This canyon had a large number of cycads as well.

There's a healthy population of this species living in the Rio Galindo canyon, NW of San Juan del Rio, Queretaro. The stream is mostly spring fed and the habitat is in relatively good condition, comprised of mixed riparian (Taxodium sp.) and thornscrub.
Specimen observed sunning itself amongst boulders in mixed conifer forest, at approx. 2,800 meters elevation. Temperature was in the 60 F degree range. Specimen was extremely difficult to see. Location is approximate. This was the earliest that a large C. molussus was observed at such a high elevation in Central mexico
