Seen crossing lawn at US Embassy. Several of these live within the compound and forage during the day.
Have only observed one specimen of this interesting lizard over a few days time in my yard, then it disappeared. I suspect it was eaten by a kestrel.
This anole appears to be common in gardens around Port au Prince. It is a shade loving species and appears to be crepuscular.
Colony of large territorial lizards found in old trees along shoreline. Very alert and hard to approach.
