Description

I couldn't match this to any common AZ woodpeckers but I think it is a gilla. I saw this at the botanic garden in Scotsdale/Phoenix- brown head with small red crown.

Description

I almost never saw turkeys growing up in Maine- it was a rare occurrence, and usually when you were in the woods. Now that the area is more developed, I see huge flocks of them all the time. Guess they like the 'burbs more than the deep woods.
