Description

Fremont Cottonwood, Populus fremontii, is on a bluff which likely is the extreme high water line of Fine Gold Creek. It is about 6 meters above and 15 meters northwest of the low water currently flowing. It is notable because of the form and spread. It appears to be two to three mature offspring of a parent tree long gone. It is identifiable by the tooth-edged, heart-shaped leaves.
