snowgyreDescription
Reminded me of a bolete, but I don't think that's what it is.
What
Little Wood Satyr (Megisto cymela)Observer
snowgyreDescription
Spotted approximately six individuals in this area, best photo I could do given their high activity and my potato of a camera.
What
Silver-spotted Skipper (Epargyreus clarus)Observer
snowgyreDescription
Found on sidewalk next to busy road, probably hit by car.
What
Ornate Pennant (Celithemis ornata)Observer
snowgyreDescription
Terrible photo, but if you view the full sized image, markings should be diagnostic. This is an adult female.
What
Southern Cloudywing (Thorybes bathyllus)Observer
snowgyreDescription
Difficult ID. This butterfly has a white patch where the antennas bend, which is indicative of southern cloudywing, but a dark face, which is indicative of northern cloudywing. Could be a confused cloudywing, but confused cloudywings should have pale faces and no white patch at the bend of the antenna. ID help requested.
What
Little Yellow (Pyrisitia lisa)Observer

Best photo I could take. Small active butterfly, about the size of a quarter, yellow above and below, with black margins on fore- and hindwings. No other butterfly meets this description in this region. Feeding here on a wild violet for scale.
