Very hot weather. There were two of these in the park today. One with a torn wing.
Asian arowana. Seen in a fresh water pond in a public park. Lots of koi there but this fellow really stood out. Sorry about the bad pics only had an iphone. It was much more recognizable in person without all the glare. Not sure on the variety as there seam to be a few types of Asian arowana. probably a dumped pet.
Black Mangrove Shrub at low tide
Not positive about the ID as the pictures are a little blurry do to the obvious, it was dark and bats are small and fast. This was my first attempt at photographing flying bats. I think it is the Asiatic Common Bent-winged Bat. I'll have to go back with a better camera set up to know for sure. This was my refrence.
Hong kong orchid tree
A female observed on a cement litter bin near the beach. She was kind enough to pose before scuttling off into the under brush.
About a half dozen of these near a beach path.
I think this is a Ceracris fasciata but the green eyes are throwing me off.
chinese Banyan in a public park
~2cm long walking on cement pathway thru a mangrove marsh.
