After releasing this spider on the driveway, I gently prodded its abdomen with a piece of paper, to encourage it to move into the grass. It ejected a stream of creamy yellow-white liquid which formed droplets extending about 5 cm behind it. This appeared to be a defensive behavior. Animal spanned at least 10 cm including extended legs.

sadly this was a fresh road kill. there is a stream 450 m from this location and a catchment pond 120 m away. body and tail were each about 35-40 cm long.
