Southern Brook Lamprey (Ichthyomyzon gagei)Observer

This is a Southern Brook Lamprey that was found in a creek in Georgia. This was pulled up while seining. We pulled up multiple of them. However, they are an invasive species here. The shape of the head along with the dorsal fin shows that this is an adult.

This is an American Alligator. We went out on this warm night and found two of these beautiful Alligators.In the same swamp was a large 7-8 footer that was seen basking on an island in the middle of the swamp. They were making a call for their mother.

It was a warm rainy night and we went out toading. As expected, toads and frogs were crossing the road we found a lot of dead species. This little guy was not fully dead when found, but had been in a bad state.

This is a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker found on Dickinson's campus behind the Waidner Spahr Library. Found on the top of the steps. Seemed to have died from Window strike. This is a juvenile female that was in the stages of molting( in her first year). She does not have any red because she has not matured to an adult as yet.

This is a Spring Peeper found on 3/8/2015 while on a hike we came across a wet land. There were many egg masses that may have been those of a Southern Leopard Frog(Lithobates sphenocephalus). Sitting in shallow water was this little guy. The cross on the back is so prominent.
