Observations by tejasgajapolu

Spotted this in Tamhini area.Initially saw this and thought this of a mating behaviour but later even after the raindrops fell on it they did not shift at all or got disturbed.Most probably they were dead.The grip between them was strong and it was unaffected inspite of raindrops falling on it.This is the first time got a chance of observing such behavior. Experts can you please throw some light on the id and behaviour.are there any reports of such sort in the past.
