Description

With no nesting pairs before 1982, North Carolina started a restoration program that helped bring the bald eagle population to over 125 nesting pairs. Jordan Lake, located just south of Chapel Hill, is a great place to view bald eagles. There is a live cam of an eagle nest, set up & maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers; see http://www.ustream.tv/jordanlakeeagles
