Ardea herodias catching a fish in the artifical wetland at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC, USA. 1 September 2009. Last summer I often managed to catch this show on my way home from work. The heron usually arrived at the pond right around sunset and often managed to catch several fish within 30-40 minutes.
