The subject here is the lighter-colored bird in the center of the first photo. This individual stood out from nearby Least and Western Sandpipers because of its lighter and slightly redder color, and apparently slightly larger size.

No photo, but pretty confident about the ID. Weasel-like body shape but much larger, dark brown, long fur. Came out of brush for a moment until it saw me, then quickly returned to cover.
