Mute Swan (Cygnus olor)Observer

I saw a couple of swans near the lake. I am not sure whether they were mute swans or not. They did not make much noise while I was there but I cant be sure if they were mute or not. They stayed close to the shore line and repeatedly bobbed their heads in the water. They all stayed relatively close together in the water.
