Description

RB reported site.
1.4 km along Marsden FSR. Just below road.
Steep south facing slope. Angular rock thin soil layer. Spring moisture. Camas in the thousands. Knapweed yes.
Associated species:
Orchardgrass, woodland star, sulphur cinquefoil, saskatoon, oceanspray, mallow nine-bark, snowberry, Rosa sp. (native), ponderosa pine, weedy forget-me-not, ferns, cheatgrass, blue-eyed Mary, bluebunch wheatgrass, yarrow, hare's foot clover (Trifolium arvense).
Not a terribly species rich site and quite weedy. Poss because of overseeding with orchardgrass, or maybe because it dries out more quickly than other seepage sites.
