Some kind of thistle bush spotted on the side of trail in Strawberry Canyon, Berkeley. Plant is about 2-3 ft tall, with thick, prickly leaves. No flowers were seen on this particular plant. There were several of this kind of plant found along the trail.

A tree observed with 3-4 inch ellipse-shaped leaves, and light pink fruit at the tip of its branch. This particular branch is very close to ground level.

Spotted towards the end of our field trip to Berkeley's Strawberry Canyon at about 17.45 p.m. (PDT). It was observed flying from flower to flower on a teasel bush.
