This photo is of one of two striped gudgeons caught in a drainage canal emptying into an upper arm of the Maroochy River. The fish in this photo is in an aquarium which successfully kept the gudgeons for several months before the were released back into the canal.
This diamond weevil was observed in wallum heathland on a private property at Mount Coolum Queensland
