This poor dead wallaby had died a long time before I noticed it beside the road south of Bicheno. A typical sight in Tasmania.
This poor Wallaby had recently been killed on the road, probably during the night. We saw several of them at dusk near Bicheno, and then saw three live Wallabies jumping parallel to the road in the morning as we rode our bikes along the road.
A noble-looking and large gull, the Pacific Gull.
These gorgeous 2" green anemones might be Aulactinia verata? I saw them in a tidepool in E. Tasmania.
These Checkerboard Snails (a name I found on an Australian website without its Latin name) were in a tidepool in Eastern Tasmania.
I saw this little shore crab in eastern Tasmania and wonder what species it was?
These beautiful sea stars of different pastel colors were most plentiful here in Bicheno, although I did see a few others elsewhere.
I found lots of these along the beach and one floating on the surface when I tried to go for a quick swim...
A row of Pied Oystercatchers at a small and gorgeous Bicheno beach.
This photo of the Laughing Kookaburra unfortunately isn't in a tree...
Early in the morning.
its somewhere around here....
This was growing along the coast. I've looked it up every which way and I can't seem to pin an id on it.
