I've seen this labeled Anoplophora horsfieldi tonkinensis on a few sites online. But I see Anoplophora horsfieldi is in the system so i'm going with that. There seams to be two name variations though one has an extra "i". Might be a typo.
I found this stunning yellow and black longhorn beetle in a tree near Wu Kai Sha station. I was without camera at the time but couldn't let the opportunity pass. It being blazing hot I did the logical thing, dumped my water and ran home with it in my cup. Took a few pictures and then let it go. lovely creature.

There were two of these about 25yards apart. On e on a tree near a mosquito light and another near an exit door light. I don't know if I should make separate observations or record them as one. Anyone know the proper way to report multiple sightings.
