quite a lot of reflection from the camera's flash unit from the scales in this shot. In reality, the wing colour is the deep yellow that is seen at the apex of the lower forewing. The reflections mask the silver scales edging the fascia.

Ammatucha flavipalpa is known from Fujian province, which is not far to the north-east of Hong Kong, and is separated from its congeners by the yellow labial palps, a feature of the Hong Kong taxon!
The whole tribe of Phycitini is diverse and poorly understood - there are over 50 unidentified species in this tribe just in Hong Kong!
