Not the most attractive habitat, but I'm hardly likely to get a closer shot of the bird!

The crows seem to have S. Florida pretty well partitioned. At Ding Darling they were 100% Fish Crows; here at the Everglades they were 100% American -- even here, right on the seacoast.

In kayak by shallow water (around 1-2 feet) We were just moving into the channel by a deeper spot when the water by us exploded and I saw the back half of a very large fish. Then shortly after we saw a giant fish 5+ feet jump completely out of the water.

These are very poor pictures, but the second one shows the characteristic marks on the outer wing. This butterfly had a rapid manner of feeding on the lawn at Flamingo, rarely landing, and never landing open. It was quite difficult to photograph.
