Male (?) three-toed box turtle seen near a house on a dry day when there had recently been 2 weeks of rain. Turtle had some fungal keratitis of the marginal scutes and two significant mirrored scars on the caudolateral aspect of the carapace that appear to be the result of a dog attack (speculation). Turtle was relatively friendly for its species and very active.
