Initially observed alive on paved road at 19:18 - coast live oak woodland. Relocated it within the same area - away from the road. Approximately 122 cm SVL.
Foraging in the garden. Active lizard, longish rostrum, long and slender, eyes high on the head, marked with alternating thin light lines and lines of fine light spots, on a darker gray background.
An exceptionally large specimen. In maritime succulent scrub on Linne clay soil.
The butterfly has many spots and is about thumbnail size.
Observed flying overhead at 19:05, rocky arroyo in coastal sage scub-chaparral.
A pair of crows; but I only got a picture of one.
Observed dead on shoulder of paved road at 20:52, in disturbed coastal sage scrub. Fresh, observed minor reflexive muscle movement. SVL = 108.6 cm.
