Small, ovate leaves trellising down from a drainage collector.
Leaf widest below middle, which separates this from C. chilensis (see Jepson).

Juvenile. Saw about a dozen in tidepools. They don't like iPhones.
The pattern looks a bit like red brain coral. Found under cobble.
AKA Dwarf Teardrop Crab. Forward, outturned posture of the first pair of walking legs is the ID, but I'm still not 100% on this since I don't know crabs. Could also be a very juvenile Moss Crab (Loxorhynchus crispatus).. or...?
Found under cobble. About 1/3" across. Covered in sponges, on which it snacked as it walked along. :-) There's a photo of it reaching up for a clawful in the alternate photos here.
