Thick brown fur. Loves bathing in the sun! Spotted several of them fighting over an empty patch of rock.
Medium-sized Sevengill shark of unknown gender
A large Sevengill shark passed by us while on a dive at La Jolla Cove.
Note: we have been documenting encounters logged by other divers of this species at La Jolla Cove for the past 2-4 years, too numerous to import here.
Please see: www.sharksonline.net for precise figures. Select: Broadnose Sevengill Shark from species and La Jolla Cove for location.

It appears that this will be the 4th straight year with these nesting on top of one of the buildings.
San Diego County, California, US
The fox was a young adult. It was grayish-white-tan in fairly uniform color all over its body and its head. It had darkish-gray or black areas around its eyes and on its snout.
It was sitting in the outside columnbarium garden, in the southwest corner of the church.
The fox remained in position until I walked to within aprx. 20 feet, then it ran away. It acted alert, wary but unafraid.
Stump regrowth from having been scraped. Specimen removed since 2010 for development.
