At least four individuals lying in the shade of boulders on the exposed rock above and east of Barker Dam. All were ewes or young individuals.

Description

This observation and ID request is for the disease organism that caused the spotting. Is it an insect? A fungus? A viral or bacterial infection? Plant pathologists, I need your help!

The plant is desert trumpet, Eriogonum inflatum.

Description

The toads were located in a stagnant pool in Rattlesnake Canyon, Joshua Tree National Park. The pool was 4'x2' and about a foot deep. Six pairs of mating toads, one deceased toad, 3 singles, and dozens of tadpoles (many with legs) were in the pool.
