This snake was particularly friendly and let me snap a few photos before he snuck back into the bushes :) - Jennifer Gordon

Front porch in shade
No outside house cats or feral cats unless you count mountain lions.
I see these lizards often in this area about once or twice a day at least. Some are shy, some are actually curious. I snapped a picture of a particularly curious one that kept getting closer and closer to me, I wasn't sure if it was poison or would bite so I didn't encourage it to get any closer than it already did. They always like to sit on our porch or on our wall in the backyard.
We see a wide variety of wildlife such as deer, tarantulas, slow moving black stink beetles, centipedes, scorpions, rattlesnakes, water snakes of some kind, coyotes, black widows, gophers, wild rabbits, owls, red tailed hawks, fire ants, I think I saw a bear once... This crazy looking yellow spider that's hind quarters were as big as a quarter, Wild dogs, etc. - Jennifer Gordon

On private property of the Santa Susana Field Lab
I believe its a non native species.
Melanistic adult, apparently having recently feed.
Difficult to see the spots on the eggs but I observed a house finch on the nest so I'm confident in the ID.
I'm leaning towards G. saccatum.
