Hiked to the hill at Lake Success that is sometimes an island when the lake is up. The bobcat was at the top of the mountain watching us and we saw it clearly for about 30 minutes through binocs as we hiked around the hill. We tried to be sure and not get too close to it to disturb it. We saw an area on the hill where there was a lot of bobcat scat. Assumed that was close to it's lair. Also saw several discarded honeycombs.
Near upper Tulae River by Camp Nelson
Swimming in the populated Tule River near Coffee Camp. Believed to be a southern water snake
Gathered in a group in the road, scurrying away when vehicles approach
Heard by the side if the road
Thought to be a bobcat but on closer inspection appeared to be too small. Possibly a small feral cat or a runaway domestic car from one of the local homes
