This bird was on the rocks with gulls, not on the beach. Maybe a little larger than a black turnstone.

The yellow sand verbena is just starting to bloom. The pink sand verbena had been blooming for at least two weeks.

Not an oystercatcher or a cormorant, but had a light colored beak. Might be tough due to the poor quality of the pictures, but it flew away before I could get closer.

This bird been in my neighborhood. It's got yellow stripes on its wings
Observed a dead sea lion at Lover's Point cove. It had washed ashore and appears to have a deep gash in its lower extremeties. Curious as to how it died.
