Poison oak growing alongside wild blackberry.
A fuzzy mass, looked more plant-like than animal, next to a curious hole...
A broad stand of horsetail, some over five feet tall.
Dozens of bees on this blooming bush.
Very small and shy, about two inches long and very quick.
House spider? Wolf spider?
Found this growing near a park in Marina California. I was surprised to see it growing wild here. At first I mistook it for raspberry. The park is Locke-Paddon Park.
These grow all over the dunes in Monterey Bay. They have cute, tightly-packed flowers of pink and white.
