Lots of activity on this single thistle in a warm clearing in the redwoods. With umber skippers.
I really struggle with these. Chose Coronis based on color, flight season, and more elongated wing tips, but am completely open to being wrong. The submarginal band on the hindwing disc does look a bit more like Callippe....
