I really struggle with these. Chose Coronis based on color, flight season, and more elongated wing tips, but am completely open to being wrong. The submarginal band on the hindwing disc does look a bit more like Callippe....

Numerous individuals found under rocks at the edge of the creek, mostly juveniles. Didn't have a flash so not the best pics, but you can see the bumps on the younger one.

Description

Sucktastic, but no flash. A serious disadvantage of the 6D. This colony seemed to be using the Pisolithus as a roof, something Christian said he'd observed numerous times. Will have to keep an eye out for this and try to get better pics of the ants next time. Wonder if there's some kind of an association or, as Christian speculated, they just like the way the fungus loosens the soil.
