Along banks of Swanton Creek .
Very large .
No sori were present .
This is a seedling . Note that the needles were sharp pointed , unlike nearby Douglas-Fir .
The conifer in the middle . If you look closely you can see the distinctive cones are narrow and in a whorl .
Also Polypodium sp. in the left side of the photo .
Also known as Yerba-de-selva . Common here .
Fairly common along the creeks and in heavy bloom . My first photos of the flower ...finally .
