2 individuals on the ridge trail. A likely pair, yet this species is not commonly seen in this area.

This individual has been hanging around the same 3 or 4 trees for 2 weeks. This is a rare sighting for Los Gatos. Lewis's Woodpeckers are not uncommon in the eastern part of Santa Clara County, on Mt Hamilton and the San Antonio Valley.
