It was blooming today.
Tucked into a clump of Anthopleura elegantissima anemones.
Found with Chthamalus in the mid-intertidal, and preyed upon by the whelk Nucella ostrina.
This predatory whelk feeds on the barnacle Balanus glandula in the mid-intertidal.
The Douglas irises were in full bloom.
