About 3/4" long. Oak chapparal on hilltop.
Large bush among chapparal.
Several pairs mating today; no singles. Might be nearing the end of the flight?
This one had NO white spots on the wings - inland or coastal or ?
Faded and tattered.
About 1" long. Had orangeish-yellow wings (only saw in-flight blur).
Adult male, on oak trunk.
Group of about 10 of them interacting in one small riparian area.
