This is the SECOND propeller-strike sea lion I saw today. What's going on at the harbor? :-( This one was still alive at least, though not in good shape. Resting on the right side of Dock H.
Very tiny (that's the 'whiskers' of a T. maculata at the edge of the photo), and vaguely amphissa-shaped. Really terrific pattern!
Doto Form A, methodically mowing down hydroids.
We had large pods, sometimes bow-riding, with us at various times during this Alvaro's Adventures pelagic
Very close to shore
Resting on the breakwater. As will soon be apparent, I had a rotten photography day out there. Everything else was fine
On the breakwater
By our boat's slip
Thousands and thousands close in shore
This is the biggest one I've ever seen, over 1" long. Also a few smaller ones today.
