Robberfly didn't think I could get a picture. Well, I did. It is simply not very good. There are two of them in this picture, though. I'll get a better one, someday.

The field trip originally misidentified this, but I am still not 100% sure. This is a lousy photo, but I will check my iPhone for additional ones.
We had a remarkable Bird/Butterfly walk, with robberfly (from here on iNat) leading, and Rich Cimino, Leslie Flint, Jeff Miller, and others along, too. This was our first butterfly; I was the one who found it!
It was a bit windy today so hard to get a closeup
this bug was perched on a flower and when I got closer, it reared up and revealed the red just under the front legs. Awesome
It kept turning so the best I could get was a side shot.
Amazing to see the host and the moth simultaneously.
