The individual swam across a channel to the bank where I was sitting. It seemed to be foraging in between the large rocks that encase the riverbank. It appeared to be a young individual and was no larger than 18 inches in length.
Barred Owl, perched above my car this morning. I only looked up because of the racket 3 Blue Jays, 2 Northern Mockingbirds, 6 European Starlings, and a few Dark-eyed Juncos were making as they mobbed it.
4 larva were seen in pool.
Several were seen in one of the Park's vernal pools on 2 dates (April 6 and April 8).
Seen on a rock in the river rapids by Will Isenberg while eating lunch on the river bank.
The Chimp Call.
Adult female found on the front porch at the base of the left window of the front door of the house. The individual had at least 3 engorged ticks attached on the left side of the neck.
