2nd picture is a close up a a dead one.
On monterey cypress, the only one I spotted. There was a surprising lack of lichens on these trees and in the area (apart from crustose lichens. Didn't see any niebla sp.).

Very small shrew, found dead on Gray Whale Cove trail less than 0.5 miles from McNee Ranch SP parking lot
Peacock blues/purples/greens iridescence. About 3/4" long, under oak log.
About 1.5" long, under oak log.
Three of 17 found under one log (personal record!).
This seems to be showing up all over our hillside now in shaded areas
Not bad for a manual focus lens, I have to say.
