Under trees near parking lot.
Legume seeds, variable seed number per pod, sharp whorled needles, Fabaceae family.
Found on the window between my kitchen and laundry room.
Two are flying around in my backyard.
This cucurbit germinated in container mix in a pot on my back porch. I moved it to a larger pot. The fruit shown is immature and was pale yellow from the beginning, never green. I don't think it is a common domestic cucurbit. Could it possibly have been sown by a blue jay from seed in parrot food in an adjacent yard? I will let it ripen and save seed. I will not eat the fruit unless I can identify it as an edible plant.
Perhaps an Emerald Carpet (hybrid). Planted here last year by the dozens.
Heron spotted in tree near Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park
a spider climbed up a wall and remained for a couple of the days. This little guy "ate his way out?"--leaving only the legs.
Candelabra Aloe... Lots of them planted here on the east side of the building. Should have a nice bloom in winter.
