Underside of ceanothus leaf
Unknown bee/wasp on Ceanothus spp.
Observed this arachnid on the way to school today. I was curious as to what type of spider this is. Does anyone know? The bug moved left to right relatively quickly and it's back and sides of its abdomen is a red orange tone as of the color of an unblossomed flower. It really is a beautiful creature in my opinion.
Unknown bee/wasp on Sedum 'Autumn Joy'
Aphids on Ceanothus spp.
I didn't crush and smell one, Ken-Ichi.
Lots of bees on Irving today.
The bee in the photos sent to you by Liam O'Brien is a female Andrena. Looks most similar to A. cleodora and A. cupreotincta. Neither has been recorded from the Twin Peaks area, but both occur fairly near by. Does he have the specimen or only the photos?

These blisters from Sawfly larvae are seen on the lupine as well. Distinctly different from butterfly's feeding.
