"Mmmm, love is in the air -- gotta love breeding season."
"Hey guys come check out these mushrooms!"
Apologies for the leaf-obscured photos but perhaps you can look at each for a mental composite view. It would not leave the large tree trunk on the left of each photo, on which it was feeding. It is facing left on each of these photos. It had a small red patch on the back of its head, a white, unbarred belly, barred black-and-white wing edges, and possibly a yellowish/pinkish patch between its eye and beak.
Possibly the same species as my previous observation; this mule deer thought they were very tasty.
Common! Saw a dozen large clumps like this one.
Two black ravens on top of vernal falls
Two deer in the Yosemite Valley floor
Black ant on top of Nevada Falls
On the north rim trail between upper Yosemite Falls and El Capitan
Spotted on the Four Mile Trail about .5 mile below Glacier Point. She walked ahead of me for about 100 m before deciding to leave the trail.
