What do I have here guys?
Surprised to see this guy practically in a salt marsh
Last Saturday was a mob scene of scopes and Life Listers in GGPark to see this Siberian stray. Only one other Birder there today and I thought, "It's gone" Then...it appeared! Not the best shots but the crest/facial marking are apparent if you look at all the shots.
Cool to see the male - it is the species featured on the cover of the Sibley Guide.
I'd heard what an amazing showing this species was having this season from others, but at least a dozen "whistling" together today in the Oak Woodlands of GGPark. Fantastic. This is the female.
First time for me in the county.
Guy told me people write on these....
We have a serious ladybug infestation
These were The Smallest Mushrooms I've ever seen. On a Willow, less than 1/8th of an inch. The size of a pencil eraser.
Not sure about this green, granular thing...
Cladonia in a tree?
Perhaps R. canariensis?
