Observed this western bluebird in a pyracantha tree in Bayfront Park, a dog park in Mill Valley, CA. It appeared to be traveling with a flock of Pacific slope flycatchers. I didn't have a camera with me, only an iPhone, so the image is poor, but the bluebird against the red berries was exquisite to behold.
Resting amongst the flowers.
Some sort of larva. Didn't get a pic of the whole body. There were a bunch o them. Leaves brought together into some sort of cocoon?
I was in vacation at San Francisco California. I went to a nearby city named Sausalito, there I found this gull, at a park. It was kinda sunny but not to much near a bay.
camera trap, set for three days
Under cover board
I took soil from mountain lake park and this grew out after I planted my pudica mimosas for 5 months. It's got extensions on its stem
Haven't seen it on this perch in quite some time.
White, flaky lichen molded over tree branches.
Beautiful flower pictured in San Francisco—growing bountifully on trees covered in flaky, white lichen.
Poor iPhone photo. Couldn't identify better. Standing amid gulls.
Great fun to watch this bird fly and then head first dive into the water again and again.
