We scared this cottontail off the trail, but it came to rest under a low-hanging tree next to the trail.
A break in the rain was particularly warm and sunny, and these insects began flying all around. I asked the children if they could figure out where they were coming from and they did! They were emerging from the grassy, weedy ground between a fence and a treated wood raised bed.
