This crab spider had just ambushed its lunch. It was really hard to get a photo, as it kept scurrying to the other side of the flower, away from me. That and the wind meant crisp focus was a real challenge
This was "growing" on a log next to a more mature specimen. I haven't seen this form before so not sure if I have it right.
The orange rock fish washed ashore, victim to sea lice.
Really bad photo I know. This bird was doing loops over the Dam. Swooping down over the water and trailing its feet making a wake. It didn't seem like a fishing tactic, maybe a way to scare fish? I've seen them dive to catch fish before but that was always from a height. this was a long swoop across the water.

Large limpet among mussels and assorted algae, with smaller limpets near and on owl limpet.
Algae, olive green in colour, ends of blades very swollen, mixed with red alagae and tarspot algae.
Yellow dorid nudibranch in shallow pool at low tide, with surfgrass - small white spots all over, a few greyish patches, white branchial plume, prominent rhinophores.
Mixed beds of gooseneck barnacles and mussels exposed on ridge at low tide - limpets and smaller barnacles on otherwise bare rock between the mixed beds.
