This is same individual as observation 1024622, from Oct 18. I returned to check leaf phenology, as it looks like hybrid between deciduous and evergreen species. As predicted, canopy was partially deciduous with many leaves dropped, some persistent and brown and others persistent and green

on found on eldridge grade, the other on the start of tucker trail up from phoenix lake (where there tends to be a lot of them.)
I think these are fecal droppings from dogs... I was seeing the mold covered dropping near the beginning of the trail in to the park. I have numerous photos o them, illuminating their covering of 2-3 inch long "micro-stalks"
