Almost flowering, yellow with brown stripes, outside of plot area.
Dried fruit, no leaves.
In fruit . We saw only one blossom .
Seeds mostly fallen.
Dead and down.
Marin Flora ( 2007 edition ) says that this is the last species in the county to bloom .
All alone in a sea of coyote brush.
Under coast live oak and bay laurel.
With reddish-orange tinge to flowers; looks like a cultivar.
Plants to 4 ft. tall.
Growing in wet edge of grassland.
