Some breeding pairs, seeing many more of these above water this year on the mudflats of sf bay near the gps coordinates provided compared to previous years. Some individuals appear unwell (flies, maggots on corpse). Could be a die off?
I saw one of them. It was cawing and flying through the trees.
I saw 2 of these birds on the tree chirping to each other but left quickly when it heard me
1 of these birds were interacting with the western gulls. The other was flying near the trees crowing loudly.
This was the first bird of two that I saw. It was calm and eating berries from the tree.
I heard this bird as I was walking along the shoreline. I could not see it however it was making lots of calling noise.
I saw about 15 of these birds. They were ducking its head into the water searching for food. They few away as I got closer
This bird was high up in the branches of tall trees. It was pecking at the trees loudly and continuously
