Under a pine tree
Two or three dozen in the area
A lovely six point buck and two doe.
Coast Redwoods dominant forest, old-growth, scattered young Douglas Fir, understory sword fern dominant.
I was strolling around this park in the flood/rain/high-tide while I waiting for my daughter's pediatric appointment at the hospital across the way when I saw these 2 rails running around in the Coyote Brush, most likely pushed out of the salt marsh from all the water. They were totally exposed, and while they didn't seem totally comfertable with it, had no where to go, so I got great views
Growing in wood chips. My first thought was Redlead Roundhead. Anyone know what it is?
