Two Otters swimming in Pond 1
It is a type of pond snail that was found in a tank with american bullfrog tadpoles and an algae plant. They are small but quickly growing and are similar but much smaller and different shell type to the pond snail (lymnaea stagnalis)
This dried specimen was growing atop a man-made dyke in the Novato Marsh. This non-native plant speciment is about 1.9 meters in height.
Sizable stands of this Typha were seen north of California State Highway 37 growing in the saltwater marsh associated with San Pablo Bay.
A single tree was seen at the southern edge of the expansive Novato Marsh not far from State Highway 37. The yellow flowers were profusely blooming.
